When you buy a car, what’s the first thing you want to know before paying for it? “Does it come with a warranty?” Warranties are important because they not only save you money on unexpected repairs but also give you peace of mind. After all, nobody wants to watch their money disappear after buying a car that turns out to be a lemon.

The Workmanship Guarantee

Summit Solar has built our company with longevity in mind. If your solar panel isn’t efficient, reliable, and durable, then our reputation is at stake. We want your solar power system to provide many years of energy for your home. It’s our primary goal! That’s why we offer a 10-year construction workmanship warranty with every solar installation. Any construction-related work we perform on your home is completely covered if a problem occurs in 10-year period. Most other solar companies do not provide that, but we go above and beyond to serve our customers.

The 5-Year Penetration Warranty

Working on a roof is a practiced skill. Not all solar installers know how to do it right. However, we are solar installation experts and experienced roofers. From end to end, we know the right way to install, replace and repair roofs. That means you can rest assured we also install solar panels correctly. No holes and no leaks. All the work we perform is airtight. Even then, we include a 5-year penetration warranty just in case you have any leaks. Usually, they become apparent within six months or after the first rain. Either way, we’ll take of repairs ASAP.

The Manufacturer Warranty

One of the many reasons to go with certified solar panel installers is that only certified professionals can maintain the manufacturer’s warranty. Because we are certified, we can keep the warranty valid by providing regular monitoring and maintenance. Using a special monitoring app, Summit Solar keeps track of any potential problems that could be happening with your solar system. Most warranties are between 20 and 25 years. They essentially cover any equipment defects or even premature deterioration of a system that’s not due to external factors.
