You Can Create A Lower Monthly Power Payment Using These 3 New Programs.
The 30% federal tax credit, also known as Investment Tax Credit (ITC) allows you to deduct 30% of the total cost of your solar system from your federal taxes. This is a dollar-for-dollar credit on your taxes, which is way more beneficial than a deduction. This saves customers an average of over $9,000 when going solar.
The new Illinois SREC (Solar Renewable Energy Certificate) program can drastically improve the financial return of installing solar panels. For each megawatt hour (MWh) of electricity your solar system produces, you will be granted one SREC. As an example, if someone installs an 8kw sized solar system that produces 10,000 kWh of power annually, in Illinois, that customer would receive around $12,000.
I don't typically leave reviews but I can't say enough good things about Summit Solar. CLEAN install, EXCELLENT communication, FLAWLESS project management, and an overall GREAT experience.
