If the power goes down in your area and your home’s power goes out, your solar system will not keep your power on. The power will be restored once the workers fix the problem that caused the outage. This happens because it is unsafe for a system to be sending power into the grid while workers are performing service.
Solar panels will still function on a cloudy or foggy day. The only time your system will not produce is when it is completely covered by snow. In this case you simply wait for the snow to melt. You will not be without power. When the panels aren’t producing you will simply receive your electricity from your utility. This happens automatically and you don’t have to do a single thing. Net meetering is the process in which your solar sytem is connected to the utility grid. During the day your system will produce more power than you use. This excess electricity is fed into the grid and you will receive it back during nighttime when your panels arent producing. Get ready to watch the new meter spin backwards!

Your installation will take between 1-2 days depending on the size of your system. All aspects of system installation will be handled by Summit Solar. All you have to do is pick the date!
